ID-Cooling Zoomflow 360X Snow Edition AIO Cooler Review

A Closer Look

Out of the box, your initial impressions are, probably quite rightly, grabbed by the bright white design offered in the Zoomflow 360X Snow Edition cooler. In terms of handling it, however, despite being a 360mm design, it’s actually both quite easy and pleasant to hold in the hands in terms of weight. A solid combination that suggests that this has been well designed.

As this is an AIO cooler, however, there are clearly more than a few individual components that make up the design as a whole. Let us, therefore, take a closer look at some of those parts.

Pump Head

The pump head presents itself well, both in terms of the design and aesthetics. Starting with the latter, you’ll note the ID-Cooling logo to the top of the pump head as well as a few indications as to where that ARGB goodness flows from.

In terms of size, the pump head is about average. Perhaps erring slightly on the ‘smaller than you might expect’ scale. This is, however, generally good as it means that even on relatively cramped motherboards (particularly those with lots of VRM real estate), this shouldn’t provide you with any difficulty.

Contact Plate

The contact plate for the Zoomflow 360X Snow Edition AIO Cooler is nice and large meaning that coverage for either AMD or Intel processors (with the exception of workstation designs such as the Threadripper) will be excellent.

With it’s copper finish as well, this should result in some excellent heat dissipation/transfer which is exactly what you want from a good quality AIO liquid cooler.

Hoses

In regards to the hoses running between the pump head and radiator, in truth, it’s usually a factor we tend to discuss within a sentence rather than a dedicated section. For the Zoomflow 360X Snow Edition AIO Cooler, however, it deserves way more attention than that.

In terms of length, it is excellent. While not ridiculously long, fitting this exactly where you want it shouldn’t be a problem in even the most cavernous of PC chassis designs. Another important factor of note, however, is the sleeving. Continuing the white coloring, what impressed us the most is the quality and feel of it. Rather than plastic, which is what most manufacturers tend to use, it feels like a cloth/polyester combination (although we’re sure those are NOT the materials used) that is both durable and highly flexible. It feels really nice to touch and, at least in our view, should provide some excellent protection to the hoses.

Radiator

The radiator offers a nice visual contract between the overall bright white design with some black highlight strips to the sides. In terms of 360mm radiators, however, it does appear to largely be a pretty standard design.

In terms of branding, while what ID-Cooling has provided is quite minimal in this area, we actually think that it fits in really well with the overall aesthetic. Opinions, of course, may differ, but when you consider that some AIO cooling manufacturers don’t even bother to attempt to make the radiator look even remotely unique, ID-Cooling has definitely done something nice here!

Fans

As this is a 360mm AIO liquid cooler, it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that you are provided with 3 x 120mm cooling fans. In terms of the design, and putting the ARGB aspects to one side (we’ll get onto that very shortly), they do appear to be pretty standard. Albeit, we are certainly not understating how excellent they look in white!

A closer look reveals them to be an ID-Cooling design which is always a good thing as it clearly indicated that the fans, and their operation, have been specifically designed to work efficiently with this cooler.

Overall

As a complete design, and even with the RGB lighting off, the Zoomflow 360X Snow Edition AIO Cooler really carries a nice and sleek aesthetic. While some products rarely suit the ‘white’ treatment, the Zoomflow 360X Snow Edition, at least in our view, looks vastly superior when compared to the original black version.

Even the mildly transparent off-white fan blades manage to blend in really well and, on the whole, we think it’s hard to deny that this is certainly an eye-catching cooler. What about those ARGB lighting effects though? Well, let’s take a look at them in action!

ARGB Lighting Effects

Thanks to the installation method of the pump head (more on that shortly in this review) you can install this in pretty much any direction you like. More so, however, while the ARGB lighting effects are not exactly like the 4th of July, they are still very bright, bold, vivid, and would definitely stand out as a strong aesthetic addition within any PC build.

Without a doubt, however, the main brilliant effect on offer here is shown within those radiator fans. Offering a wide range of effects (that can be controlled either through motherboard sync capabilities or the manual controller) there is something here for everyone! Like the pump head, they’re exceptionally vivid and, with the white coloring, really add a fresh dimension to the aesthetics seen from the original black version of this cooler.

Overall, both in terms of the look and design, we’ve found absolutely nothing to fault with the Zoomflow 360X Snow Edition AIO Cooler.
