Yesterday, we saw the unveiling of a whole host of GTX 1080 graphics cards from all the AIB partners. Inno3D was one of those and they announced their iChill Herculez X3 and X4 graphics cards using the latest GP104 GPU from Nvidia. Following that release, we have leaked pictures for the GTX 1070 variants for the X3 and X4 iChill graphics cards.
As expected, the cards use the same iChill Herculez X3 and X4 cooling solution as the GTX 1080 variant of the card. This should allow for cooler operation as the GTX 1070 has a lower TDP compared to its larger sibling. The X4 features new Turbine fan blades while X3 opts for quieter Scythe blades. In addition, the X4 also has an extra 50mm fan and 2 heatpipes that provide extra cooling to the VRMs.
Compared to the founders edition, Inno3D is adding in an extra phase for a 6+1 solution. There will also be an additional 6pin PCIe power connector, delivering 300W in total over the 8+6 pin configuration. Combined with the likely removal of the 112% TDP limit, these cards should overclock much better than the Founders Edition. With the NDA reportedly set to life on the 30th, we’ll hopefully be able to bring you more information on the GTX 1070 as it arrives.
