Intel logo

Within the next 24-48 hours, Intel is expected to formally confirm the launch (and possible release) of its latest batch of non-K Alder Lake-S processors. While this has been both anticipated and known for quite some time, in terms of specifications, the leaks so far have proven to be more than a little limited with most of it focusing on the i5-12400. – Following a report via TechSpot, however, information from both ASUS and Colorful has possibly filled in a huge amount of these upcoming CPU specification blanks!

What Do We Think?

Although clearly pending confirmation, and price tags might we add, it seems pretty clear that the new upcoming Alder Lake-S CPUs are, at least in terms of performance, looking very decent indeed. As noted many times over the last couple of months, however, the undoubted interest so far is clearly lying in the i5-12400. Particularly since it’s speculated to hit the market with a circa $200 price tag while outperforming the AMD Ryzen 5600X.

With a formal announcement expected from Intel in the very near future, however, if the top of the Alder Lake-S tree hasn’t grabbed your attention yet, perhaps one of these models will!
