Intel Announces a Microcode Update for Several Processors Along with 30 New Security Advisories
CPU manufacturers must address issues that arise with processors already on the market, especially the errors that are discovered over time. To handle this, Intel has released a new version of microcode, specifically version 20251111, available for multiple generations of Intel processors.
This update doesn’t come alone—Intel has also added up to 30 new security advisories affecting its hardware, complementing this microcode update.
Intel Adds 30 New Security Advisories
The processors receiving this microcode update include Intel CPUs from the 12th to the 14th generation, as well as the latest Intel Core Ultra chips for laptops and Intel Xeon processors from the 4th to the 6th generation.
The microcode update focuses on fixing bugs and adding improvements, but the most notable part is the inclusion of 30 new security advisories released alongside it.
Among these advisories, one involves Intel PROSet/Wireless Wi-Fi, where a serious flaw could cause connection interruptions. Users are advised to update to version 23.160 or later.
There are also issues with Intel Arc graphics, specifically the B Series, where the update improves stability and driver privilege handling. Intel recommends updating to version 32.0.101.6913 or later.
