Intel Arc B770 Still Missing; Manufacturers Await Test Units and Final Specifications
Intel’s current generation of graphics cards appears to be progressing more slowly than the first Alchemist series. The new Battlemage desktop GPUs have so far only included two mid-range models, while enthusiasts are still waiting for a more powerful B700-series card, similar to what was released in the previous generation. However, Intel seems uncertain about such a launch, as two manufacturers who usually work with Intel GPUs claim they have not received any test boards for the rumored Arc B770.
Intel Continues Working on the BMG-G31 GPU
Intel reportedly continues developing a new graphics card based on the BMG-G31 GPU, believed to correspond to the Intel Arc B770. At this stage, it’s unclear how far along development is or whether this model will ultimately be released as a consumer card or redirected to Intel’s professional range focused on AI workloads.
For now, two manufacturers have confirmed that they haven’t received any test boards or final specifications for the Intel Arc B770 — both necessary steps before mass production can begin. One source even stated that these test boards do exist, but they are currently limited to Intel’s internal laboratories.
The future of Intel’s most powerful Battlemage GPU seems uncertain. The ongoing lack of information and the absence of test hardware indicate that a public launch of the Arc B770 might not happen anytime soon.
