Intel Confirms the Arrival of the Arc Pro B70
Intel has finally taken the final step to confirm the existence of its most ambitious GPU yet, the Arc Pro B70. This will be the most powerful GPU so far within the Battlemage (Xe2) architecture.
The confirmation did not come through a traditional press event. Instead, it appeared in a “semi-official” way through the release notes of Intel’s LLM-Scaler software on GitHub, where the Arc Pro B70 is clearly mentioned.
Big Battlemage Chip Confirmed
The key part of this news is the validation of the BMG-G31 chip, internally known as “Big Battlemage.” This GPU represents the top model of Intel’s second generation of Arc graphics.
Unlike the already released B580 and B570 models, which are based on the G21 chip, the B70 is designed to compete in a higher segment. It is expected to deliver improved performance, but it is clearly focused on the professional market.
According to the information available, the Arc Pro B70 will feature 32 Xe2 cores and 32 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus. These specifications almost double the memory capacity of its predecessors. This positions the card not only as a tool for professional design, but especially for processing models (LLMs), where memory capacity and bandwidth are very important.
Although gaming enthusiasts are waiting for a possible “Arc B770” version aimed at gaming, Intel’s recent moves suggest that the company is prioritizing the workstation and professional market. The Battlemage architecture appears to have found its main focus in the corporate and AI sector, where profit margins are higher.
The Arc Pro B70 series is expected to launch officially during the first quarter of 2026.
