Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus Leaks on Geekbench with 20 Cores and 5.5 GHz Boost
The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus has been spotted on Geekbench with some unexpected specifications.
These processors are coming soon, though the release date is still unknown. The upcoming Arrow Lake Refresh lineup might end up being one of Intel’s less exciting generations if the rumors are true — improvements appear to focus mainly on turbo frequency. Today, we bring news of a leaked model that is creating quite a buzz as the first SKU has surfaced.
Specifications of Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
The chip features 20 cores — 8 Performance (P) cores and 12 Efficiency (E) cores, similar to the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K.
It was tested in a Lenovo OEM system, showing a base frequency of 3.7 GHz and a turbo frequency of 5.5 GHz, which doesn’t represent a major improvement.
The test system was paired with a NVIDIA RTX 5090D, suggesting the setup is intended for the Chinese market with a focus on AI performance.
In single-core, it scored 3,205 points, and in multi-core, it reached 22,206 points — nearly identical to the Core Ultra 9 285K results.
The processor supports the LGA1851 socket, as expected, and includes 9 MB of L2 cache and 36 MB of L3 cache.
Details such as TDP ranges, power limits, and final core configurations remain unknown, though the presence of more P-cores than expected is notable.
Performance Expectations and Future Models
Reports suggest native DDR5 RAM support at 7200 MHz, a major boost compared to the 5200 MHz seen on many current platforms.
This leads to the obvious question — how many cores will the Ultra 9 290K Plus include? It might feature 24 total cores, while the Core Ultra 5 250K could come with around 14 cores. These numbers are still speculative, as Intel has not confirmed final specifications.
For now, we’ll keep an eye on upcoming details as they emerge.
