As the traditional saying “out with the old and in with the new” would imply, Intel is making efforts to clear the older inventories of Sandy Bridge as it shifts its focus towards the newly released Ivy Bridge. The price cuts Intel have introduced are modest, this is because Sandy Bridge is still reasonably popular even with the arrival of Ivy Bridge but there is still sufficient stock to warrant a price cut for clearance. The i7 2600K gets a €10 price cut now being priced at €255-260/£207-212 and the i7 2700K gets a €15 price cut meaning it falls slightly to €275/£225.
