Intel Discontinues Deep Link Technology, Ending Support for Older Systems
Intel launched its Deep Link technology in 2020 with the aim of enhancing performance when using Intel processors alongside Intel Arc A Series graphics. However, the technology seems to have not gained much traction among users. As a result, Intel has decided to discontinue support for Deep Link, and it will not be compatible with newer Intel processors and graphics.
What Deep Link Offered
Intel’s Deep Link technology provided several advantages when pairing Intel CPUs with Intel Arc graphics cards. Tools like Dynamic Power Share allowed better performance optimization between the CPU and GPU by enabling smooth communication between the two compatible products. Other features like Stream Assist, Hyper Encode, and Hyper Compute helped improve video streaming, video encoding, and performance in AI tasks.
Unfortunately, there is no successor to Deep Link that works with the latest Intel processors. The technology stopped being supported with the 14th generation processors, and it was not updated to support Intel’s new Battlemage graphics. Intel Deep Link has now officially ended, and users who relied on this technology will no longer receive updates or support from Intel.
