Intel Expected to Reveal Only the Panther Lake Architecture on October 9
Recent rumors suggest that Intel will unveil Panther Lake on October 9, the date when the information embargo from the Intel Tech Tour 2025 will be lifted. However, as often happens with leaks, these remain just rumors. According to the well-known leaker Golden Pig Upgrade, there is now more reason to believe that Intel will introduce Panther Lake in 2025, but the processors will actually be available in 2026.
This October, Golden Pig reported that Intel will only present the architecture behind the new Panther Lake processors. On the rumored October 9 date, Intel is expected to share detailed technical information about the new chip design, but no product models or specifications will be announced yet. Those details will likely come later.
Full Launch Expected at CES 2026
Golden Pig Upgrade mentioned that CES 2026 is when Intel will officially present the Panther Lake lineup, including all model details and specifications. This aligns with Intel’s earlier comments that Panther Lake would arrive in 2025, but not as a retail product—its availability will start in 2026.
It’s reported that Intel has already shipped its first 18A node wafers to select manufacturers for testing purposes. Mass production is expected to start in the fourth quarter of this year, with broad availability in 2026. We’ll likely have to wait a few more months to learn all the details of this upcoming generation—unless, of course, one of the usual leakers shares more information before then.
