Intel extends warranty on Solid State Drives

Intel has announced that they will be extending the standard warranty on all their 320 series solid state drives from 3 years to 5 years. Meaning the warranty period on SSDs now rivals that of mechanical hard drives.

Other manufacturers of solid state drives are expected to follow suit. The Intel Solid State Drives covered by this warranty extension are:

  • Intel Solid-State Drive 320 40GB
  • Intel Solid-State Drive 320 80GB
  • Intel Solid-State Drive 320 120GB
  • Intel Solid-State Drive 320 160GB
  • Intel Solid-State Drive 320 300GB
  • Intel Solid-State Drive 320 600GB
