Intel Unveils Future CPU Plans; Wildcat Lake and Nova Lake at the Core of New Roadmap
Intel is working on a new generation of processors, including Nova Lake, Wildcat Lake, and Bartlett Lake. These will play a key role in Intel’s roadmap for future CPU releases.
A leaked image has recently shown details about the upcoming processors. It revealed that Nova Lake and Wildcat Lake will be the main focus. Although some information was shared by a leaker called InstLatX64, it was quickly removed.
Nova Lake and Wildcat Lake in Intel’s Roadmap
The company’s plan includes both Nova Lake and Wildcat Lake processors, alongside the Bartlett Lake platform, which will have up to 12 cores. Nova Lake is expected to focus on desktop architecture, while there will also be Nova Lake-S and Arrow Lake lines. The Arrow Lake CPUs are expected to come with a new LGA 1954 socket and a hybrid configuration with up to 52 cores.
Additionally, Intel is reportedly working on a variant of Nova Lake designed for laptops. This version, called Nova Lake-U, will likely offer better energy efficiency. On the other hand, Wildcat Lake will replace the Twin Lake processors in ultra-mobile devices. These CPUs are expected to provide lower power consumption and improved performance.
The Future of Intel Processors
Another interesting development is Bartlett Lake, which will have configurations with up to 24 cores. There is also a version, Bartlett Lake-S, intended for edge computing, with up to 12 cores. The processors will support series 600 and 700 motherboards (LGA 1700), while the upcoming Panther Lake processors are expected to enter production by the end of the year.
It’s worth noting that Bartlett Lake was already announced at CES 2025. However, these details are unofficial and should be taken with caution. We will update you as soon as we get official confirmations.
