InWin 309 Gaming Edition Mid-Tower Case Review

Complete System

Putting a system inside here really highlights just how oversized this case is, but it’s also rather tight in some respects too. There’s enough width for an E-ATX motherboard. However, there’s barely any wiggle room above or below the motherboard, and anything bigger than mATX covers up some of the routing holes too.

Getting cables to the bottom of the motherboard will be tricky. However, a bottom-mounted radiator or fan combo will provide a gap at the rear to hide any cable runs.

The PSU cables for the motherboard have to take some unconventional routes too, and the holes themselves are a strange shape, but I suppose they get the job done.

There’s a small cut-out at the top for the 8-pin cables.

Fitting a GPU, clearly no issue. I don’t have a single card in the office that could max out this space!

The storage bays are easy enough to work with, just screw the drive to the tray and fix it back to the case.

Again, I couldn’t be happier with how much space there is back here. Great news for those who suck at cable routing!

Hit the power button, and those stunning interior fans will have you busting disco moves in no time.

They’re all synced up with the built-in controller and can be controlled for desktop software too. Of course, looks aside, they’re moving a lot of air within the case too.

Honestly, funky cable routing and strange layout are swiftly forgotten about. With the glass back in place, the build looks stunning; the all-black interior hides many sins!

But, what about the front panel? BEHOLD! Simple games, fire patterns, disco patterns, a freaking Giraffe that walks around and eats from a tree. This front panel has got it all. These are just the built-in profile too, but they literally paint the picture of the possibilities.

Wow.
