InWin @ Computex 2023

InWin is a leader when it comes to innovative PC case designs, and while the last few years have frankly seen them go a little off the rails with ultra-high-concept case designs and prices that are frankly ridiculous, it seems that they’ve slowly but surely been coming back to reality and actual consumer-grade products again… but they haven’t lost their creative side, that’s for sure.

their new POC case comes completely flat-packed, and you have to build it yourself using origami folding techniques! I love the hands-on approach to this one, as you can customise it as you build it. Plus, it ships in a much smaller box, which is just more eco-friendly too, and that’s never a bad thing. It supports mini-ITX motherboards, 3.5 slot thick GPUs up to 346mm, and comes with a PCIe 4 riser cable included too.

This one is a bit more of a concept right now, but again, it comes flat-packed, but uses leather hinges so you pretty much unbox it, unfolded it, and bam, you have a mini-ITX case… I love this, it’s really neat.

There’s some details around the plastics and wood to iron out, but honestly, I hope to see this one on the market in the near future too.

Plus, given how many cases I have in storage here, if they all folded flat like this I’d have my garage space back!

Then we have their I BUILD series, which they actually call DUBILI, as they shuffled up the letters to make it seem more custom, which sort of works.

The cases look fantastic, but it’s when you see how they come that really makes them unique.

They’ll sell all kinds of different panels and configurations, allowing you to really build it your way.

SECC and leather side panels? Well, that’s a first!

Aluminium handles, oh and they have leather on them too!

But what if you want to spend crazy money for something truly modular? Well, the MOD series has you covered. This is pretty amazing stuff, but you have all these frame boxes, offering support for various motherboards, PSU installs, hard drive bays, radiators, fans and more. The bonkers bit is you can string them together in any direction and configuration.

On the left, is the Mod-I with some side panels, then in the middle, it’s Mod-I with an extension on the front and a full-length one on the top making it a full-tower.

Or you can make a mid-tower with added radiator support.

Or you can strap some smaller ones together, make a mini-ITX workstation with rear mounted GPu.

Here are things getting a little more complicated, again, limited only by your imagination.

But what can you do with fifteen different modules, and a few optional bits like filters, side panels and more?

A single mega system that houses four extremely high-end PCs in one handy box… my god.

Price? A lot, plus extras, but hats off to Inwin for making a genuine alternative that fits between traditional cases and rack mounts!
