iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Will Be Between 10% and 20% More Expensive

Apple is going to increase the price of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max because of the DRAM crisis. It has not been confirmed yet, but all the expert and well-known sources in the industry consider it certain. The question is not whether they are going to increase in price, but how much they are going to increase.
Sources say between 10% and 20%. Such a large price increase could generate a lot of criticism against Apple, but the company has no other choice because of the price increases from its memory and NAND Flash storage suppliers. It is estimated that Apple now pays 400% more for DRAM than it did last year, and those costs are going to be passed on to the new iPhones.
Apple Faces Soaring Component Costs as iPhone 18 Pro Launch Nears
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are also going to use a more expensive SoC, the Apple A20 Pro, which will be made using the 2 nm node.
For most components, Apple has had to accept an increase in costs, although it is rumored that the company may have partly balanced this with better agreements with suppliers of other components, such as the display.
The presentation of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will take place on September 9. Some rumors say that Apple will not increase the price of the new iPhones as much as it should to fully pass on the increase in costs, because doing so would cause it to lose customers. Others believe that this price increase will not affect sales much, even if it reaches 20%, because Apple’s fan base is used to paying more.
