It Looks Like Gran Turismo 7 on PC is Dead

A few years ago, we had one of the biggest leaks in gaming history, with rumours pointing to a huge number of first-party Sony games coming to PC. Many of these have since come true, but there are still a few glaring omissions.
The big leak happened back in 2021, a list of games was discovered in the database of Nvidia’s GeForce Now service. While this list included several PlayStation-exclusive titles such as God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon, and more, most of these have since come to PC. However, things have not been smooth sailing for Sony and their endeavours into PC gaming, despite some massive successes with the likes of God of War.

Some of the games that leaked were:
- God of War
- Demon’s Souls
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Ratchet & Clank
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Gran Turismo 7
- Returnal
- Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Some games, like the recently remastered Horizon (which nobody asked for), and now the Spider-Man 2 release, have been a huge mess for Sony, and that seems to be a signal that they’re changing their targets for some of these releases.
Gran Turismo 7 PC
Rumours now suggest that the port of Gran Turismo 7 has been shelved. This isn’t overly surprising though, as it’s been a few years since the leak, and it’s pretty much the last one on the list to have had no further leaks or information since. While the developer did tease a possible PC port a couple of years ago, I think we would have seen or heard something by now given every other game that has since come out on PC.
With the rumour that Polyphony Digital has already moved on to Gran Turismo 8, perhaps it’s time to put the idea of a GT7 PC port to rest. That’s a real shame too, as we’ve just heard that PlayStation will be getting Forza Horizon 5. OK, it’s unlikely we’d see Gran Turismo on Xbox, but it would still have been great to see it on PC, with more advanced ray tracing, DLSS4 and other modern technologies. The game still looks great on PS5, but damn, I would have loved to see it pushed to the next level.
