Keanu Reeves Wants to Return in the Sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and the Series Creator Has an Idea About It
Keanu Reeves has repeatedly expressed his desire to reprise the role of Johnny Silverhand in the future of Cyberpunk 2077, and the original creator of the role-playing game, Mike Pondsmith, seems quite open to making that happen.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Keanu Reeves would like to appear in the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, although this could be complicated given the situation of his character, Johnny Silverhand, at the end of the game.
However, Pondsmith appears to have some ideas that might allow the famous actor to return to the cast—possibly even reprising his character in a way that remains undisclosed.
Mike Pondsmith’s Hint About Keanu’s Return
“Not that long ago, I saw that Keanu would like to find a way to come back from the dead and play Johnny again,” Pondsmith said. He added, “I have ways to do that, Keanu, contact me.”
At this point, it’s unclear how closely Pondsmith is involved with the development of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, currently known as Project Orion, but as an influential figure in the franchise, his opinion could certainly carry some weight.
Now, fans eagerly await to see whether the two will actually connect to make Keanu’s return possible, while also looking forward to more details about the mysterious Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
