Kingdom Come: Deliverance Will Receive a Free PS5 Graphics Upgrade, According to a PlayStation Store Leak
The PlayStation Store appears to have revealed ahead of time a free graphics upgrade for the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance on PS5, and possibly for Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
As reported by Gematsu, the game’s page on Sony’s store has been updated and now includes references to a new PS5 version featuring 4K resolution, improved frame rate, and high-resolution textures. The fact that this information appears directly on the page of the original 2018 release strongly suggests that this will be a free upgrade from the PS4 version, rather than a separate remaster sold on its own. Official confirmation is still needed to be certain.
Official Announcement Coming Soon?
The updated description currently available on the PlayStation Store reads: “The PS5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance now features graphical updates including 4K resolution, improved framerate, high-resolution textures and many more. Medieval Bohemia has never been so beautiful.”
The impression is that this text was published early by mistake, effectively anticipating an announcement from Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, which could arrive in the coming hours or days.
At the moment, the PlayStation Store only mentions the PS5 upgrade, but it cannot be ruled out that similar improvements may also be planned for the Xbox One version and for the Nintendo Switch edition, which launched last March. For now, all that remains is to wait for the official announcement.
