KLEVV Cras C925 1TB Gen4 M.2 SSD Review

KLEVV continue to impress us here at eTeknix, with incredible memory and storage products that can hold their own against any of the big name brands in terms of performance, build quality and reliability. Their CRAS series continues to push the limits too, and while the new KLEVV CRAS C925 isn’t the most extreme in their range, using the slightly older Gen4 NVMe interface rather than Gen5, it’s still packing some pretty tasty performance and features that make it well worth your consideration. Of course, the biggest benefit of Gen4 is the price, with Gen5 drives needing a newer motherboard/CPU combo, costing a lot more, and also running quite a bit hotter, so there’s still plenty to love in Gen4 drives yet.

Of course, old doesn’t mean slow, as the PCIe Gen4 NVMe design still promises to deliver read and write speeds of around 7400/6500 MB/s, making it well suited to creatives and gamers alike, with fast loading times, low response times, long drive life time and durability, and support for both PCs and modern consoles such as the PlayStation 5.
