Kojima’s Message Sparks Fan Speculation About a PC Version of Death Stranding 2
When Hideo Kojima posts even a short message online, fans are quick to look for hidden meanings. The latest example has convinced part of the community that a PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach may already be in development.
Recent comments made by Kojima have sparked theories that closely mirror what happened with the first Death Stranding, which eventually made its way to PC months after its console release.
Kojima’s “Editing” Messages Spark Speculation
On February 9, Kojima wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Didn’t have much time today for editing.” A week earlier, he shared a similar post saying: “Editing for the first time in…8 months?”
Fans immediately focused on the reference to eight months, as the original Death Stranding launched on PC exactly eight months after its PlayStation release. The Director’s Cut followed roughly a year later, making the timing feel far from random.
Adding to the speculation, the February 9 post included a photo of Kojima’s computer. On the screen, fans noticed text styled similarly to Death Stranding 2, featuring the phrase “A Hideo Kojima Game.” Beneath the monitor, a Death Stranding–themed 2026 calendar is also visible.
Taken together, these details have convinced many that a PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach could arrive sooner rather than later. Whether these hints are intentional or not may not matter much, as it seems reasonable to assume that Kojima Productions is already working on a PC port, just as it did with the first game.
It is also worth noting that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has already been rated for PC.
In other news, British users are using Death Stranding’s Sam Porter Bridges to bypass new UK age-check laws on adult sites, exploiting Discord’s face verification system in an unusual loophole.
