Kolink Observatory Z Mesh ARGB Super Midi Tower Case Review

Kolink is pretty well known for some rather impressive budget PC cases and power supplies I’ve built a few systems with them over the years and their value has always been hard to beat. However, they’re also a brand that has some rather surprisingly high-end cases too, such as their aluminium mini-ITX Rocket series. The Kolink Observatory Z Mesh ARGB is noticeably larger than that though, a Super Midi Tower design that can house up to an E-ATX motherboard. At around £120, it’s competing with some pretty serious competition too, but do Kolink have what it takes to stay competitive in such a price range? Well, that’s what I hope to find out!

The Kolink Observatory range features a few different models, making up the current flagship series from this OCUK exclusive brand. The Kolink Observatory Z Mesh RGB comes equipped with a tempered glass window on the left side, a high airflow mesh design on the front, as well as four pre-installed 120mm Kolink Umbra Void fans. With room for up to an E-ATX motherboard, 7+3 expansion slots, a full-size PSU shroud, and flexible storage options, it should easily meet the demands of a high-end PC build. affording a magnificent view of the matte black interior. Inside, the layout has been carefully curated for ease of access as well as supporting a vast array of components. With features such as rear access to the PSU and sliding rail metal cages, this case is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike. With its sleek all-black aesthetic accentuated by the Kolink Umbra Void RGB fans, this is a stylish addition to any gaming PC.

  • All black mid tower PC case with integrated Kolink Umbra Void 120mm RGB PWM fans
  • Hinged tempered glass side panel and steel chassis
  • Tempered glass front panel elevated by innovative side mesh ventilation
  • Extensive support for fans and radiators across the case
  • Anti-sag L-bracket and vertical GPU mount included
  • Easy to use features such as rear access to the power supply

“The Kolink Observatory Z Mesh RGB has been carefully balanced to provide accommodation for hardware with incredible natural airflow. The front mesh panel is elevated by innovative ventilation, for superior cooling and a sleek appearance. Strategically placed across the chassis, there are metal dust covers to promote airflow whilst preventing particles in your PC. All of this is further bolstered by the integrated four Kolink Umbra Void RGB PWM 120mm fans, three mounted on the front panel and the fourth upon the rear. Pairing curved blades and a hydraulic bearing, these fans operate effectively and efficiently. Speeds vary with workload intensity, up to 1500RPM, providing whisper-quiet operation when the fans are not needed.” – Kolink @ OCUK
