Latest Version Of Denuvo Has Already Been Cracked

I think it’s fairly safe to say that when it comes to Denuvo, opinions are divided. For those unaware, the software is often included in many PC game releases and is designed to prevent pirated versions being made.

On the surface, sounds reasonable. There are, however, two major arguments against the software. Firstly, many people believe that it impacts on the performance of a game by effectively monitoring the gameplay. The latter, however, is a much simpler argument, put simply, the software is bypassed so often and so quickly that many people fail to see the point of it at all.

Well, the 2nd argument may certainly have a point as in a report via DSOGaming, the latest version of the anti-piracy software (version 5.2) has officially been cracked.

How Is This Known?

The report has found that many ‘cracked’ (pirated) versions of Football Manager 2019 have started appearing online. Given that this game included the latest version, it’s a fair conclusion to make. With Battlefield V and other upcoming releases set to also include it though, the early indications for those games staying ‘safe’ are not good. Surprisingly though, some releases on the former version, such as Fifa 19, have yet to be compromised. I guess the previous version was a little more tricky!

Does It Impact Performance?

I really prefer to play Devil’s Advocate over this subject. Many believe it does, many believe it doesn’t. The evidence, as a whole, is rather inconclusive. If you were to hold a gun to my head, I’d probably suggest that it does have an effect, but probably not as much as people like to make out.
