LEETGION Hellion Mechanical Gaming Mouse Review

First impressions are that it is a fairly contemporary design, with a bit of industrial style mixed in with it. The whole mouse is in a grey colour scheme, except for the red mechanical button. Medium in size, the shape almost represents a hammer, which is very apt for LEETGION as their logo is of an anvil – so they are literally correct in saying they provide you with the right tools.

The Hellion is of a plastic construction, with some brushed aluminium panels that really add to the quality of the mouse. The shape is pretty much symmetrical except  for the “attack” button, so if you wanted to make the most out of this mouse, you’d have to be right-handed.

The back of the Hellion is where the LED strip is located, plus two buttons to control the sensitivity (up and down).

The right side of the Hellion contains the main feature of this mouse – the “attack” mechanical button. This is a Cherry MX blue switch, that when pressed, makes a smooth, satisfying movement until it is activated.

The top of the front of the mouse has the usual 2D scroll wheel, RMB and LMB , but on top of this, the normal forward/back buttons you normally find on the thumb rest of most mice, have been positioned on each “end” of the hammer shape.

The underneath of the Hellion reveals another unusual feature and that is a profile switcher dial. Since the main purpose of the Hellion is for StarCraft 2, 3 of the preset profiles are named after the there factions found in game: Terran, Zerg and Protoss. There are two other profiles: default and custom. The sensor is an Avago 9500 laser sensor giving you up to 5000 DPI to play with.

The Hellion has many different LED colours, all of which can be selected using the software. Each of the profiles above, by default have different colours.
