Lenovo Introduces Its First Legion RX 9070 XT Graphics Card
Lenovo has made an important move in the hardware market by presenting its first Legion Radeon RX 9070 XT, a custom graphics card based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture. This model debuts inside the new Blade 7000P PC, a system that combines desktop performance with the efficiency of laptop components, following the “Mobile on Desktop” (MoDT) concept.
Design and Technical Features
The new RX 9070 XT keeps AMD’s reference design, featuring a boost clock of 2,970 MHz, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, and a 256-bit bus. Its triple-slot build includes RGB side lighting and an advanced cooling system that keeps temperatures under control even during heavy workloads.
With an approximate power consumption of 300 W, it stands out as a high-performance option within Lenovo’s lineup.
The Blade 7000P pairs this GPU with AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D or AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX APUs, optimized to provide a strong balance between power and efficiency. Lenovo has increased the CPU power limit from 75 W to 162 W, allowing the system to take full advantage of the GPU’s capabilities without sacrificing stability.
In addition, the system includes a micro-ATX motherboard with reinforced VRMs, passive cooling on power modules, and extensive storage expansion options — all packed into a compact yet sturdy chassis.
For now, the Blade 7000P with the Radeon RX 9070 XT will be available only in the Chinese market. However, this release could mark the beginning of a new generation of hybrid PCs, combining the strength of traditional towers with the efficiency of laptop components. Time will tell if this becomes a lasting trend.
