Lenovo Launches the Affordable Yoga 530 2-in-1 Notebook

Aside from launching the two Yoga 730 2-in-1 models at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Lenovo is also launching a more affordable 2-in-1 option. Called the Yoga 530, this 2-in-1 may not be as sleek looking or have Amazon Alexa integration like the Yoga 730, but it does have some interesting features for the price.

What Features Does the Lenovo Yoga 530 2-in-1 Have?

The Yoga 530 measures 328 mm x 229 mm x 17.6 mm and weighs at 1.6kg. While the Yoga 730 is available with a larger 15.5-inch screen, the Yoga 530 is only available with a 14-inch version. However, since it starts at such a low price, there is an option for a 1366 x 768 touchscreen or a 1920 x 1080 touchscreen display. The 1080p FHD version also comes with an IPS panel for better viewing angles and color.

There is also a range of processor options available. The most affordable version comes with an Intel Pentium 4415U CPU. However, there is also a 7th Generation Intel Core i3 option, as well as an 8th Generation Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 CPU option. The GPU uses the built-in Intel graphics by default, however, an NVIDIA GeForce MX130 option is also available.

In terms of memory options, users can choose between a 128GB, 256GB or 512GB PCIe SSD. The memory option range also provides 4GB, 8GB and 16GB DDR4 configuration options.

There is also an optional fingerprint reader, USB-C, 2x USB 3.0, an HDMI port, a built-in 4-in-1 card reader, 2×2 AC WiFi, and an audio combo jack. Lenovo even throws in Harman speakers with Dolby Audio Premium as an extra.

This flexibility in options is what makes the Yoga 530 an accessible 2-in-1 option for those on a budget, but are particular about what they need.

How Much is the Lenovo Yoga 530 2-in-1 Notebook?

The launch date for the 2-in-1 is in April 2018, with the basic configuration available for as low as $549 USD. Users can choose between Onyx Black, Mineral Grey and Liquid Blue colour options.
