Lenovo Prepares the ThinkBook Swan, a Laptop That Can Automatically Stretch Its Screen Horizontally
Lenovo continues to explore new solutions for future laptops, including new features such as expandable and rollable screens. Another of these laptops has now appeared through Windows Latest and is called the Lenovo ThinkBook Swan.
This new prototype has a rollable display that expands horizontally from a ThinkBook-style body.
Unlike the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, Lenovo’s first commercial model with a screen that rolls out vertically, the new ThinkBook Swan expands horizontally.

Opening the screen creates a portable system with an ultrawide display, which could be very useful for users who want to avoid carrying a second portable monitor and connecting it to their laptop. Lenovo continues to work on compact laptops that can automatically increase their display area without requiring extra accessories.
This is not the first Lenovo model with this type of design. At the last CES, Lenovo showed the Legion Pro Rollable, a gaming laptop capable of horizontally expanding its integrated 16-inch screen to 24 inches.
Lenovo does not appear to have plans to sell that model, at least not with those specifications, but the new Lenovo ThinkBook Swan looks more like a commercial laptop built around a rollable display.
