It looks like everyone is racing back from China to Singapore as soon as one company saw the potential of having a “Made in U.S.A.” product tag and showing that it’s important for them and for profit. Digitimes reported that Lenovo will be establishing an assembly line for product desktops and notebooks in the U.S. but starting with small volumes.
As of now, Lenovo has set up 5 factories in China, Mexico, India, Sao Paulo, Brazil and North Carolina. There is also a possibility that Lenovo may setup facilities in Germany and Canada.
As of now Apple, Inc and Foxconn have slowly shifted their production assembly lines to United States, whereas HP already stated that they have had manufacturing units in the United States all the time.
