Conclusion

Lexar’s JumpDrive C20i is a unique drive in many ways. While it isn’t the first to come with both a lightning connector and a USB one at the same time, it is as far as I know the first to use it in such a smart fashion as the C20i does. You can use it with your iOS powered device, you can use it on any PC with a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port, and you can use it to charge your mobile device too.

The performance of the drive fully lived up to the rated specifications. The speeds aren’t anything spectacular and fall well within the normal range of USB 3.0 flash drives. They’re still good results that especially will allow you to read the files at a greatly reduced time.

Apple’s mobile devices have one major flaw and that is that you can’t add extra storage in the form of SD cards like you can with most Android, ChromeOS, Linux, and Windows powered devices. The Lexar C20i fixes that problem by using the Lightning connector to add up to 128GB extra storage to your device.

The design is great too. The cable might be short, but that makes it take up less space on your travels. It smartly folds together through the cable hook which further adds to the portability. Overall, a great little drive that will be highly beneficial to any iOS user.
