A Closer Look

Taking the drive out of the box, there is little else inside apart from a cord for attaching the drive to a set of keys for example. Having a look over the drive, there is a definite feel of quality, the gloss black plastic that is used on the top with a brushed metal underside certainly sets the drive apart from the countless all-plastic drives that we do see floating around on the market.

The USB jack slides inside the drive when not in use and this is achieved by sliding the middle part of the drive back, hiding the 32GB capacity marking in the process. Opening and closing the drive is a little stiff, but this does mean that firstly the drive isn’t going to fall open by mistake nor will it close in on itself as you try to insert it into a USB port.

The P10 is not an overly chunky drive and it feels well proportioned for its capacity.

On the underside of the P10, Lexar have given the drive a dull metal finish, adding a feel of quality to the drive in the process.

Right at the end of the P10 we find a set of etched product numbers and the drives capacity with a hole right at the end of the unit for attaching the key cord.
