Lexar Launches Its NM790 SSD With Heatsink Featuring Up To 7,400 MB’s Speeds

Lexar is one of the big names in storage ranging from SD Cards all the way to M.2 drives including their new NM790 Gen 4 SSD boasting high-speed storage for gamers, content creators and professionals for both PC and even PS5.

The new NM790 from Lexar is a gen 4×4 SSD which comes equipped with an integrated heatsink to keep its high gen 4 speeds cool whilst also being slim enough to fit comfortably in the PS5. The high speeds that this heatsink keeps the SSD running at are up to 7400MB/s read and 6500MB/s write which come alongside HMB 3.0 and Dynamic SLC Cache. When compared to other DRAM Cache-enabled PCIe Gen 4 SSDs, Lexar has claimed up to 40% less power consumption which is always a welcome number.
