LEXAR

At CES 2026, Lexar was celebrating its 30th anniversary, and lord knows I’ve been buying their products for nearly as long! They’re a big memory and storage brand, so of course, AI is a big focus for them this year, especially with their flagship “AI-grade” hardware which is needed to meet the high-performance demands of AI-enabled PCs and mobile devices.

Their latest AI-Grade SSDs optimised for heavy computational workloads, a modular AI-Grade Storage Stick for instant capacity expansion on next-generation laptops, and a high-end AI-Grade Card specifically engineered for 8K AI imaging and real-time edge analytics. While that may not appeal to a lot of general consumers, for many industries, they’re becoming more important in 2026 and beyond.

They’ve not forgotten their loyal gamers and content creators though as the the Professional SILVER PLUS microSDXC card is now the world’s fastest 2TB UHS-I card, boasting read speeds of up to 255MB/s to facilitate seamless 4K60P video recording for drone and action camera enthusiasts. For the gaming community, the Lexar PLAY X PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD was introduced, delivering blisteringly fast read speeds of up to 7400MB/s. This compact drive is designed for versatility, fitting into the M.2 2230 slots of handheld consoles and mini-PCs while including a bracket for standard 2280 compatibility.

Security and portability also featured heavily in the 2026 line-up, most notably with the TouchLock Portable SSD. This slim, magnetic drive utilises NFC dual-encryption, allowing users to unlock secure data zones simply by tapping their smartphone against the device.
