LG’s G Flex has been put on sale in South Korea by LG starting at an eye-watering price of 999,900 South Korean Won – that converts into $940 at current exchange rates. LG confirmed this in an official press release and it also went on to elaborate that the LG G Flex would be made available in Europe too. By logic of currency conversion Europe will probably see the LG G Flex start at a hefty €700.
For a quick recap on specifications the LG G Flex is LG’s first smartphone with a curved display. The LG G Flex has a 6 inch 720p P-OLED display, Snapdragon 800 SoC, 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. That Snapdragon 800 SoC includes a 2.26GHz quad core CPU and an Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 450MHz. There’s also a 13MP rear camera and a couple of rear control buttons beneath it. LG’s G Flex curves from top to bottom, not side to side like the Samsung Galaxy Round. Other specifications include a 3500 mAh non-removable battery, the Android 4.2.2 OS (with an Android 4.4 update coming next year) and a 2.1 MP front facing camera.
