Lian Li has just announced a fresh lineup of hardware aimed at making cable management much easier for PC builders. The new Edge Platinum V2 and Edge Gold V2 power supplies feature an unusual L-shaped form factor specifically created for dual-chamber chassis designs. Alongside these new units, the company is introducing the Edge Hub ADV and Edge Hub V2 to help users expand their internal USB connectivity and monitor system safety in real time.

Lian Li Edge V2 Series

The standout feature of both the Edge Gold V2 and Edge Platinum V2 is their physical design. By using an L-shaped chassis, the power supplies reorient their modular connectors outward. This keeps the bulk of your cable runs out of the main chamber and significantly simplifies the routing process in dual-chamber cases. Despite the unique shape, all Edge V2 models share the exact same dimensions of 182 mm by 86 mm by 150 mm, making them easy to plan around regardless of the wattage you choose. Both tiers include removable magnetic dust filters to keep maintenance simple. The Platinum V2 series takes this a step further with a 360-hour cleaning reminder, which changes an internal indicator LED to red once the cooling fan reaches its runtime threshold.

When it comes to cabling, the Edge Gold V2 uses flat cables with a braided texture finish. Upgrading to the Edge Platinum V2 gets you individually braided cables complete with pre-installed cable combs on the main motherboard and 12V-2×6 GPU cables. Lian Li has also implemented a dual-colour connector housing on the 12V-2×6 cable to help builders visually confirm that the plug is fully inserted. The flagship 1350 W Platinum V2 model includes an extra set of shortened cables specifically for back-connect motherboards and Strimer RGB setups, alongside a dedicated 12V-2×6 cable featuring a GPU-side thermal sensor.

Edge Hub Expansion

Modern systems often struggle with a lack of internal USB headers, and Lian Li is addressing this by bundling the Edge Hub V2 with the 1000 W Gold V2 and both the 1000 W and 1200 W Platinum V2 models. The hub offers six independently controlled PWM fan channels and four USB ports. It utilises a direct chipset to USB signal path and dual parallel hub chips to manage bandwidth efficiently. Through the L-Connect 3 software, users can monitor USB loads to prevent display glitches or signal drops on connected LCD fans and AIO screens.

The 1350 W Platinum V2 steps things up by including the Edge Hub ADV. This advanced version keeps the same fan and USB expansion ports but adds comprehensive thermal monitoring. NTC sensors track temperatures on up to two 12V-2×6 GPU cables and inside the hub itself. Driven by an onboard 32-bit ARM MCU, the system can issue visual alerts via L-Connect 3 or send out email notifications. As a final safety measure, if temperatures remain above the warning threshold for 15 minutes, the system will automatically shut down. Both hubs feature magnetic mounting for easy placement and are also available to purchase separately.
