Lian Li Cases Have Founded Mounted Through Tempered Glass @ Computex 2025

Lian Li

Lian Li is a brand that has been making cases far longer than I’ve been reviewing them, and they’ve certainly changed a lot over the years. When I was reviewing them 13 years ago, they were all bare aluminium servers and enthusiasts cases, then they went down the steel route a few years ago, and now, they’re going all in on unique tempered glass cases. What’s changed the most, however, is the prices.

I think it’s fair to say Lian Li quality isn’t quite what it once was, but I think that’s reflected in the price. The older cases were often several hundred pounds, and that was a decade ago. But that doesn’t mean they are poor quality, or lacking innovation, as these new Lancool 217 Inf cases prove.

They feature fans built into the tempered glass, something I’ve never seen before, and I can’t imagine it’s easy to pull this trick off in the factory. It’s certainly an interesting design, and it’s very much a love it or hate it design, but without a doubt, they stand out from the crowd.

The Lancool series has long been one of the best cases on the market in all its versions, but the Lancool 4 is pushing the limits yet again, with glass on all sides, glass-mounted fans, curved glass, impressive cable management for a case with so much glass, epic hardware support, and incredible amounts of cooling. What’s crazy is the prices, with these unique cases costing from $125-150.

Then we have their bizarre RS1000G power supply, which features a rotatable AC line in, and side-mounted 24-pin connectors. This thing is weird as heck, but it offers some really unique options for cable management and installation in more unique cases. The decorative side plate is magnetic and locks the AC block in place. Then there’s a magnetic fan hub that snaps onto the back, allowing you direct control of your fans from the PSU, which is pretty neat.

Beyond that, there’s some very nice looking AIOS, and things were a little whacky there too, with what appeared to be a clone of the Panorama SE AIO we reviewed recently, but with a motorised mount that made the LCD swing back and forth, pretty strange stuff, but taking a chance at doing something unique seems to be the goal for Lian Li, and it’s about time someone tried to make something interesting again!
