Lian Li Edge Hub Advanced Review – Give Your PC The Ports and Monitoring it Deserves!
Lian Li has always been a strong innovator in the PC market, from their early server and enthusiast workstation days, to now, where they’re more strongly focused on the PC gaming market. But it’s not just their cases, as they’ve pushed further into cooling, power supplies, and more over the years. Their power supplies have always been of particular interest to me, often blending great build quality and performance that matches the premium aesthetic of their award-winning PC cases. However, today is less about the power supply its self, and more about the accessories that are available for them. The new Edge Hub Adv is a clever little add on for your PSU that adds even more connectivity. This might even sound a little familiar, as they’ve had the Edge Hub on the market for a while now, and there’s even a V2, but the Edge Hub Adv (I’m guessing that’s their cool name for Advanced) is their most feature rich model to date!

The hub is exactly what it sounds like, offering additional ports for your PC building needs. What’s really cool is that it provides six more PWM fan connectors, and four USB connectors, allowing for up to eight USB connections in total using splitters. With many PC cases offering more RGB than ever, more fan connections, and displays on the case, cooler, PSU and many other devices, finding a motherboard that can power all that, and provide USB headers for the various video outputs isn’t easy; that’s where the Edge Hub Adv is designed to shine!
However, it’s more than just fans and USB, as it features built-in safety features, offering an integrated thermal sensor to track your 12V-2×6 cables, you know, the GPU cables that like to get a bit melty, so this really is shaping up to be a heck of a gadget for the enthusiast gaming PC builders out there!
