How Much Does it Cost?
The Lian Li Galahad II LCD 360mm AIO cooler is available now in either black or white, with prices of $289.99 in the US, and around £250 here in the UK. Of course, that’s crazy expensive for an AIO cooler, but keep in mind, that much of your investment is going towards those gorgeous ARGB fans, and of course, the huge LCD on the pump. You don’t need those things for great performance, they’re pure swag, and if you’re happy to pay for some cool aesthetics, you’ll be very happy with what’s on offer here.
Overview
I absolutely love this cooler, it’s by far one of the best-looking and most feature-packed coolers we’ve ever seen. That being said, all the big names have a pretty tricked-out LCD-equipped AIO cooler these days, but I think Lian Li has taken the lead with this one, as the display is just so much more colourful and brighter, as well as larger than what many of their rivals have to offer.
The performance is fantastic too, not that I expected anything less. It’s one thing to double the price of a cooler to put a TV on the front of it, but people aren’t going to pay over the top for a cooler that doesn’t actually do the primary job of cooling your CPU. Thankfully, the performance hits the mark, allowing out i9-12900K to deliver great results at both stock and overclocked settings, and the fans are easily tuned in the L-Connect 3 software for those who want massive airflow (at the cost of acoustics) or peace and quiteby setting the fans to 40% RPM or less, at which point it’s practically silent.
The build quality is exceptional throughout, with a good quality radiator, backed up by those superb angled and rotatable fittings, making the tubing much easier to deal with and just more aesthetically pleasing overall. The Asatec pump designs have been used in countless millions of coolers over the years, and we know them to be good, reliable and deliver good performance, and the new 8th gen is better than ever. With that in mind, it’s no wonder Lian Li were happy to stick an impressive 6-year warranty on this cooler.
Should I Buy One?
Let’s not beat around the bush, this cooler is expensive and arguably overpriced given you can get similar performance for around $100 or £100 from any of the big-name brands that have an equivalent 360mm radiator. You’re paying a premium for some awesome ARGB fans, as well as that LCD on the pump. However, if you want great performance, class-leading customisation and aesthetics, then this is the price you pay, and I must admit, I do love this cooler, it’s one of the best when it comes to its overall design, and really, I can’t fault it.
