Lian Li Launch The PC-A51, Their Latest Brushed Aluminum Mid-Tower Chassis

Lian-Li have been working hard to listen to the DIY community with their latest product, finding out what their customers really want from a new product and how it could be better tailored to their requirements. The end result is something a little different and with Lian-Li, we wouldn’t expect anything less.

The new case is made the usual brushed aluminium that Lian-Li are famous for, and features a mid-tower form factor with a reverse airflow design. This reverse airflow design was designed with the help of the Lian-Li community and pulls cool air in from the rear of the chassis with a filtered 120mm fan. The front 140mm fan is mounted above the front-mounted PSU to pull hot air out of the case, while an additional 120mm or 140mm fan can be mounted on the floor of the chassis.

Debuting on the PC-A51 is Lian-Li’s new versatile HDD/SSD mounting system. This new system allows DIY builders to mount either a 3.5” or 2.5” drive on the five individually removable hard drive bays. For more versatility, if the bays are removed, up to three 2.5” drives can be mounted directly onto the tray – freeing up space and helping to increase airflow. Behind the motherboard tray an additional 2.5” can be mounted. This is obviously going to be handy to case modders too as it leaves extra space on the chassis interior to get creative. Additionally, A tool-lessly removable top panel allows for 240/280mm radiators and AIO liquid cooling kits to be easily installed.

At 44L, the PC-A51 is a compact mid-tower that makes use of all available space. CPU coolers up to 175mm (6.8”) in height and power supplies up to 160mm (6.2”) are supported. VGA cards up to 400mm (15.7”) comfortably fit inside the PC-A51. The I/O panel containing four USB 3.0 ports and HD audio connections is located on the front bezel for convenient connectivity. A stealth bay for the 5.25” drive keeps the front bezel uniform.

The PC-A51 will be available in the UK in four variations:

• PC-A51A (silver) / PC-A51B (black) – ₤95
• PC-A51WX (internal black w/ window) – ₤128
• PC-A51WRX (red and black w/ window) – ₤140

We look forward to checking this case out in the coming weeks and its great to see a unique cooling design, although we wouldn’t expect anything less than innovation from Lian-Li.

Thank you Lian-Li for providing us with this information.
