Lian Li PC-TU100 M-ITX Chassis Review

With the left side panel removed we can see that it’s mostly empty space inside this chassis with the only obvious feature being the front fan. Close inspection will show you that there are four pre-installed motherboard standoffs on two horizontal rails as there is no solid plate behind the motherboard, this could help with cable management but it also means the chassis is even lighter by not wasting materials on the interior.

The front fan in slotted into place on hang mounts with rubber grommets, this allows you to easily remove it from inside the chassis and clean its dust filter.

There is no room to mount any extra fans in the rear but given the small form factor, the front fan is more than enough to blow air right through the entire chassis.

The bottom of the chassis features two 2.5″ hard drive bays, not a lot I know, but this chassis is the size of a shoe box and two hard drives is more than enough for most people.

The top of the chassis features the ODD bay on the right, while on the left you can see the springs for the side panel release clips.

Around the back you can see more clearly that the motherboard is mounted on two strips of metal, this large opening will help with cable routing, it will also make swapping your CPU cooler easier as you shouldn’t need to remove your motherboard to do so. There isn’t much room for cable management here, a couple of millimeter behind the motherboard is all you get but that’s more than enough for SATA cables and every little helps.

Each of the internal corners of the side panels features a plastic peg, these clip into the chassis to keep them in place, a nice little feature and it means you don’t have to fool about with screws on the back of the case when you need access.
