Lian Li Unveil The Curved and Rather Striking PC-Q30 Case

Nearly every week we see a new PC case or enclosure hit the market, and most of the time these “new” products are all very similar to existing products already on the market except with marginally tweaked features or design aspects. However, this week is not one of those weeks because Lian Li have done something really special as they release the PC-Q30 case.

The Lian Li PC Q30 is a mini-ITX case that was actually “revealed” as early as CES 2013 in January of this year. It is unique in that it features a curved design, and a very intriguing internal layout plus an acrylic front panel for good measure. As with Lian Li’s tradition the case is made entirely from brushed aluminium and its incredibly unique design means it will surely be the centre piece no matter what you use it for – be it a high end gaming PC or living room HTPC/Media PC.

Thanks to the two expansion slots at the top of the case the PC-Q30 supports graphics cards up to 7.8 inches or 200mm (making the ASUS GTX 670 Direct CU Mini a perfect solution). In addition four 2.5″ hard drives or SSDs are supported in the removable hard drive cage at the bottom of the case. A rear 140mm fan in the rear of the case acts as the primary ventilation while the vented top and side areas allow for intake. A small form factor power supply (up to 4.9 inches or 125mm) is also supported with pre-installed rubber pads to prevent vibrations or scratching.

The I/O panel includes two USB 3.0 ports and audio headers. The PC-Q30 will be available in June in the US and Canada for the suggested retail price of US$149. More information can be seen on the product page.

What are your thoughts on this new case from Lian Li?
