Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition Upgrade Not Free on Nintendo Switch 2
Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is an upgraded version of the first game in Bandai Namco’s horror series. It will be released on October 10 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The upgrade will be free for those who own the original game and for players who pre-order Little Nightmares 3 on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. However, this does not apply to the Nintendo Switch version.
Details on the Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition Upgrade
If you own Little Nightmares on Nintendo Switch, you will not receive the Enhanced Edition for free on Nintendo Switch 2. According to the game’s official FAQ, this is due to “technical constraints” that prevent the upgrade from working on Nintendo platforms.
This situation is different on PlayStation and Xbox. Players who own the PS4 version will get the PS5 version at no extra cost, and Xbox One owners can play Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition on Xbox Series X|S for free.
Nintendo Switch 2 players, on the other hand, must purchase the Enhanced Edition again. The FAQ also states that Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition does not exist as a version for the current Nintendo Switch. No further explanation is given about the exact technical limitation, but it is clear that Nintendo players have been left out.
