Logitech unveils a new mouse/presenter called the Cube

We’ve seen Logitech release some very effective product, as well as innovative ones every once in a while. Today sees the presentation of another product, the Cube, an innovative mouse that easily doubles as a presenter.

“With its sleek design, the Logitech Cube catches your eye immediately,” said Todd Walker, brand manager at Logitech. “But it doesn’t stop with distinctive design. The Cube has just the right set of features, whether you’re working through an international flight or making a critical presentation – all in a beautiful tiny package.”

The little companion easily fits into your hand, and when used as a mouse, a simple swipe along the main panel will allow you to scroll, and thanks to Logitech’s Flow Scroll software, the scrolling becomes as smooth as on your favourite smartphone.

When needed for a presentation, just lift the Cube in the air to turn into a presenter. Clicking the main panel will switch to the next slide, and if you need to go back, just turn the mouse over in your hand and click again.

Connectivity is provided by the well known plug-and-forget Unifying receiver featuring Logitech’s Advanced 2.4 GHz, in order to connect up to six compatible device on a single receiver and leaving it plugged in without having to worry about it.

Battery is spared a lot of unused consumption, a switch will let you turn it on or off whenever you need it and a low-battery light will illuminate when running low in order to avoid any surprises.

As we’re approaching the due dates, The Logitech Cube will make an appearance at CES 2012 thanks to its International CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree in the Computer Peripherals product category and will be therefore featured in the Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase at CES 2012.

The Logitech Cube will become available some time this month for the price of $69.99/£59.99/€69.99.
