A Closer Look

Remember what the old RAT mice used to look like? Then you’re likely seeing double, as they design is very much the same. I love that though, as I don’t want another gaming mouse, I want a RAT. Low, wide, and blocky. It shouldn’t work, but it does; it reminds me of a supercar.

Down the left side, you’ll find a LOT of things going on. There’s the forward/back navigation switches, plus a cool Sniper button towards the front.

Sitting behind the huge extended wing, you’ll also find a rubber grip coated wheel. This can be rolled with your thumb and it’s pretty much a second scroll wheel but on the X-axis.

There’s a wing sticking up towards the front, which features a series of small LED lights to indicate profile/DPI level selection.

Towards the rear of the mouse, a large spring and adjustment wheel is hiding under the palm rest. This can be adjusted to change the weight of the mouse. More on that in a moment.

At the top of the mouse, there’s a small ruler. Why would you need that you ask?

There’s a small button on the back right corner. Push that in and you can slide the palm rest forwards and backwards to change the length of the mouse. It only takes a second to adjust it to fit your hand perfectly.

There’s a small wing on the right giving you a nice place to grip the mouse.

I love that metal chassis design, it looks awesome. Plus, they offset the cable so that the mouse can have an unobstructed scroll wheel.

Both the LMB and RMB are mounted on their own individually sprung panels. Plus, they’ve both been scooped to give you even better control. There’s an additional profile button on the side wing.

The underside of the mouse is a cast-aluminium design, with a bunch of small slipmats around the edges.

Here you can better see the weights for the tuning system.

I also love that any internal cables are routed cleanly and silver coated to look like pipes and really industrial.
