Maingear has presented its desktop replacement, the Titan 17, sporting higher quality components including the latest Kepler chip.
Desktop replacement, well, replace your desktops, and while some may wonder why replacing a desktop for another heavy machine, well some people see the advantage.
Maingear’s latest additions brings LAN players updated gear with the Titan 17 now equipped with the new GeForce GTX 675M which comes complete with Nvidia’s 3D Vision 2 technology for a top notch gaming or media experience.
“The newly updated Maingear Titan 17 is the ultimate desktop replacement for anyone looking to get the most out of their entertainment or heavy graphics design work on the go,” said Wallace Santos CEO and Co-founder of Maingear Computers. “With the update to the graphics and offering a 3D display option, the Titan 17 is destined to be a non-stop entertainment notebook for high performance users on the go.”
Staying true to the ‘desktop replacement’ title, the Titan 17 packs a punch with a base configuration of a 17.3″ LED display (3D will cost you an extra $229), an Intel Core i7 3820 processor paired with 8GB of Corsair’s Vengeance DDR3-1600, a single GTX 675M and 500GB Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid SSD hard drive.
Additional features include a memory card reader, 8X DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Bigfoot Killer Wireless-N, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit as the operating system.
Now available for customization here, the basic configuration listed above will set you back $2,599.
