Bungie has announced that a new Marathon playtest will take place soon, currently available only for North American users. The event is officially called the “Marathon December Community Playtest.”
It will run from December 12 to December 15, every day from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM PT.

The developer clarified that participating in previous tests does not guarantee access to this or any future playtests. Invitations will be sent by email, and players must wait for an official message to confirm participation.
Invites will be distributed in waves throughout the testing period, meaning not everyone will gain access immediately.
Bungie also emphasized that it is strictly forbidden to stream or share gameplay in any form, as the test is covered by an NDA. According to the developer, “Any feedback or recordings will need to be shared only in the NDA’d section of the Marathon Official Discord.”
Each invitation is personal and cannot be shared with anyone else, not even with family members.
The playtest will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
