CryZENx has plenty of Unreal Engine 4 projects under his belt, including a tech demo that runs in DirectX 12. His newest project is focused on one of the most iconic Nintendo games, namely Mario Kart, which has been recreated in Unreal Engine 4. The result is pretty spectacular, and even though it is still a work in progress, the game seems to run very smoothly and without any noticeable bugs. CryZENx has big plans for this particular remake, especially as far as multiplayer is concerned, as he is trying to alter the game in order to accommodate 64 players at once instead of just 12. Obviously, he’s going to have to put in a lot of hours in order to fulfil his goal, but I have no doubt that the will eventually unveil a final working version of Mario Kart in Unreal Engine 4.
You can see for yourself what he’s managed to achieve so far in the following video. The rig that was used to render the game included a GTX 980 Ti EVGA Superclocked graphics card, an Intel Core i7 4790 processor clocked at 4.8Ghz and 32GB of DDR3 memory.
What do you think about the project so far?
