Marsback Zephyr PRO RGB Gaming Mouse With Built-In Fan Review

I’m no stranger to obscure peripherals here at eTeknix, as I’ve been doing this for over ten years now, and I’ve certainly had my fair share. However, Andy spotted this new gaming mouse in the wild recently, and we just had to try it out! It’s certainly not the first fan mouse I’ve seen though. Does anyone else remember the TteSports Black Element Cyclone? Probably not, but it was worth a shot. Actually, they even did a keyboard with a fan, which I reviewed nearly ten years ago. Boy, I have been here a while! Alas, now it’s the turn of Marsback, with their new Zephyr PRO RGB Gaming Mouse. However, unlike TteSports, their mouse comes with an RGB fan inside the mouse, and let’s be honest, the sounds literally cool.

A mouse with a gimmick is certainly nothing new, but it’s an interesting one. The mouse features a high airflow body design, which makes it look like a lot of those ultra-light mice that cut out some material, with the added benefit that there’s a fan to take advantage of all that ventilation. Gimmick aside though, it’s got solid fundamentals, with a Pixart PWM 3389 sensor that can operate up to 16000 DPI, 50G acceleration and 400 IPS, putting it firmly up there with other high-end gaming mice. There are 50M click rated Omron switches too. You also get their premium cord design, high-quality PTFE feet, onboard profiles, a software suite and more. Overall, it’s ticking all the right boxes for a gaming mouse, and if I haven’t mentioned it enough yet, it also has a fan.
