Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PC Gets Fourth Patch with Ray Tracing Improvements

The fourth patch for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC has arrived, bringing enhancements to ray tracing along with various fixes for bugs and glitches.
One of the most important improvements is better performance in sand-based levels, making gameplay smoother. Additionally, issues with invisible mission markers that could disrupt progression have been resolved.
Performance and Gameplay Improvements
Map navigation has been improved, allowing for faster and more responsive movement between sections, ensuring a more seamless experience.
On the technical side, the update enhances CPU and GPU performance, particularly for users using ray tracing, which should now be easier to run.
The patch also fixes several bugs that caused crashes, including one related to enabling ray tracing on quad-core processors and another that occurred when closing the game too quickly after launching it.
Ray Tracing and Visual Enhancements
Developers have specifically addressed ray tracing issues, which had been a major concern for the PC version. Lighting and shadow effects have been improved, fixing a problem where ray-traced shadows in symbiote nests remained even after their removal.
The update also refines ray-traced ambient occlusion, preventing rendering issues that made characters appear darker under certain settings. Other fixes include corrections to reflections, textures, shadows, and UI bugs, ensuring a more polished visual experience.
