Massive Code Leak Confirms Apple’s Foldable iPhone and Reveals Roadmap Up to the M6 Chip
One of the largest code leaks in Apple’s recent history has surfaced after the analysis of a prototype device that was recently sold. The device was running a very early version of what will become iOS 26 (internally identified as iOS 19, build 23A5234w). The examination of this software has revealed an extensive list of code names confirming the development of dozens of products. It validates long-standing rumors and uncovers entirely new projects.
The most notable finding is a clear reference to the device V68, identified as the foldable iPhone. Its appearance in the operating system’s code confirms that Apple is actively working on this format, alongside future models such as the iPhone 18 Pro and even an iPhone Air 2 , whose software was developed before the decision to delay its release.

The extracted data outlines Apple’s hardware strategy for the coming years, covering everything from smart home devices to high-performance computing. Below is the list of code references found in the leak, as reported by MacRumors:

The code also reveals an aggressive silicon roadmap. It explicitly mentions future M5 and M6 chips in Pro, Max, and Ultra versions, as well as an A20 chip for mobile devices and the T8320, which seems to correspond to the S11 for Apple Watch. Notably, there is mention of a low-cost MacBook powered by an A18 Pro chip, suggesting a possible shift in architecture or a new entry-level product line for Apple laptops.
In the wearables and augmented reality section, there are prototypes of AR glasses (N421 and N107) that might have been canceled, though their presence in the code confirms ongoing research in that field. However, Apple’s focus on smart AI glasses (N401) appears to be more solid. These are positioned to compete directly with current products from Meta. While the code does not reveal release dates, it is estimated that devices such as the AirTag 2 and new iPads could arrive in early 2026, with others expected by late 2026 or later.
