We brought you the news a couple of days ago that Max Payne 3 had been shown off for the first in nearly 2 years of anonymity and now a release date has been set for it. Rockstar Games announced the game will be launched in March of 2012 for both the PC and console platforms. The game was originally planned for a 2009 launch but that launch was cancelled and then hindered by delays for nearly 2 more years.
This time Max Payne will feature a multiplayer mode something never seen before in the Max Payne series and given the amount of time this game has had spent on it we should expect something special. The company has said that the multiplayer will deliver:
compelling experience that dynamically alters maps and mode progression for all players in a match. Along with traditional multiplayer modes, Max Payne 3 will also include a deep reward and leveling system, persistent clans and multiple strategic load-out options.
