Maxsun, a Chinese graphics card manufacturer has unveiled their new flagship product line named “Mega Gamer GPU” which interesting crams 5 whole fans onto an RTX 40 series GPU.
The newest graphics cards from NVIDIA’s RTX 40 series have required some beefy cooling and whilst most manufacturers have stuck with a triple fan setup Maxsun has decided to go big and bold with 5 fans. This new lineup of GPUs from Maxsun is dubbed “Mega Gamer GPU” which I’d hazard a guess that they hired a 10 year old to name and it also seems the same 10 year-old designed the card as well.
Based on the information shared with VideoCardz the Maxsun Mega Gamer series will feature the traditional downwards-facing triple fans which will be aided by two smaller 40mm fans in an exhaust configuration on the side of the card similar to that of the Inno3d ICHILL x4 design. The Card features a rounded silver-ish design with a large RGB LED panel on the side and based on the images the panel can be changed to feature different RGB designs.
Maxsun has confirmed that this Mega Gamer range will launch with a 4070 TI with a factory overclock and they have also confirmed a 4080 to be in the works as well. The 4070TI is a 285W TDP card and it will be interesting to see how much of a difference these fans make in keeping it cool. Of course, this isn’t the first attempt at using extra fans on the side of a card, as mentioned before Inno3d has done the same thing with its ICHILL x4 cards.
Ignoring the stupid name and the design, which wouldn’t look lost if it was a part of the dashboard of my Ford KA, innovation with cooling is always welcome.
